Magma One
Progressive retro doom metal, based in the Blue Mountains of NSW. Formed over ten years ago by two members of past acts such as Grenade, Chaotic Impurity, Infinite Black, and Lord Kaos, Magma One re-entered the local live scene in early 2019 with their current drummer Corin Shearston (Trash Baby, earprojector), who joined the group in 2017. Last year they found their current bassist, Greg Charlton (earprojector, The Jimmi Carr Band). Armed with expansive songs based on mystical themes, with unrestrained volume and attack, Magma One have gigged alongside Arrowhead, Burden Man, Jack Harlon & The Dead Crows, Mountain Wizard Death Cult, Thraxas!, Mammon’s Throne, and have upcoming gigs with Cruciform, and Age Of Emergence.
