After 2 years in Melbourne’s lockdown, Gaia Scarf has re-emerged sounding and feeling a little different… Taking the time inside as an opportunity to stretch, uncoil and burst out of previous shapes, her music is made of new stuff. Still inspired by Indie-Folk with some older threads of Soul woven into the detail, she juggles between her beloved electric guitar and her new nylon. Though some things have changed, Gaia’s commitment to story and connection is still the driving force behind her music as she speaks on identity, love, society and her personal human experience.
