Luca Zumwalt

People who have heard Luca Zumwalt sing describe her as an old soul. She picked up her first instrument at 8 when she started piano lessons but switched to ukulele at 9. She’s been quietly and earnestly crafting a unique musical identity ever since – shaped in one part by her own talents and in another by a vast playlist of alternative artists like Elliott Smith, Radiohead, the Cure, Jon Brion & Nine Inch Nails. Fast forward another few years and Luca has swapped her uke for an electric guitar, comes armed with a truckload of vocal skill and charm and writes songs pulled from places you wouldn’t think a 14-year-old capable of going.

She has guested at the Blue Mountains Music Festival, Winter Magic Festival, “Love, Live, Local” and Newcastle’s Music People live as well as making multiple appearances on radio Blue Mountains and playing a support slot at Pigeon Lane for American artist Nikka Costa.
