Isobel Knight

Isobel Knight has grown from playing cafes and street corners in her hometown on Dharug country in the Blue Mountains to playing shows and festival slots around the world. Her heart-stopping voice, ear-worm melodies and lyricism have carried her pop-and-soul-influenced folk music into hearts and charts, with her sophomore “Here Now” debuting at #5 in the independent album charts. She made ‘Here Now’ with Bob Mallory (the killer ears behind Paste Magazine sessions) and grammy-winner Alex de Turk, with string arrangements from The Who’s Katie Jacoby. She’s been called a Metronome Magazine (US) ‘Act To Watch’, a Quadio (US) Artist of The Day, a Record Union Ambassador and has opened for Jordan Ireland (former frontman of ausfolk legends The Middle East), Grace Cummings and Lisa Mitchell. She is now based in inner west Sydney on Wangal land, and writes, records and performs across genres from country to glitchy alternative.
