Imad-Eddine Dably

Imad-Eddine Dably is a well-known Gnaoua musician and traditional instrument artisan from Essaouira, Morocco. He is an ambassador for the history of African Moroccan Sufi music, hailing from a prominent Sufi family in Essaouria. Since 2007 Imad has travelled worldwide promoting the preservation of traditional Moroccan instruments such as the Gembri, Qarqapa, and Tbel as well as performing in various countries such as Australia, England, Ireland, France, Poland, Scotland, and Qatar. He has collaborated with many musicians and bands such as German-African folk band Jobarteh Kunda for their album Aha (2013) and most recently Australian band Oka on their new album Berber Silver (2021).
