Nic Macken is a solo alternative artist who grew up in the Blue Mountains, with inspirations ranging from Joanna Newsom and Stevie Wonder, to Jacob Collier and Andy Shauf. His debut release, Taranaki – EP, has everything from dark synth grooves to soul/jazz influenced chords and harmony. With his acoustic classical guitar and unique take on the singer/songwriter style, Nic Macken’s songs sooth the heart mind and soul, and may give one the imagery of waterfalls and vast vistas of the Blue Mountain valleys.
