Cooking with Caustic
Blue Mountains-based Cooking with Caustic are a hip hop-groove collective inspired by dub, jazz, breaks and 90s boom bap. They blend intricate mood-driven instrumentals alongside tracks which have showcased a variety of guest vocalists, MCs and musicians.The core Cooking with Causticband features beats, keys and percussion by Caustic Yoda; turntablism by 3x NSW DMC-champ DJ Cost; electric and double bass by Jarv Benaud; and trombone and trumpet by Marc Brown. The extended CwC family have included trombonist Tim Coggins, saxophonists Stephen Noble, Eugene Baker and Adrian Symes ;MCs and vocalists P.smurf, Mikoen, Madame Wu, Jacob Quest, Jnene Peters, Dave Barry, Mute MC, Otherside, Broken Thought Theory and Tenth Dan.
